Book Review 1.O

Since you have clicked on the link to this blog which said Book Review, I hope you mostly like reading books too.

Just so you know I love every book lover in the world, sadly there are not so many left, thanks to the technology and the era of social media.

People now refrain to indulge themselves in a book. I can only feel sorry for how much they are really missing on experiencing the pleasure of reading.

But anyways, I read these 4 books in last couple of days, prior to which I was super sick, bedridden, feverish and all kinds of crap.

Books came to my rescue and became my savior like a prince in the fairy tales.

Okay so here are the reviews of two of them.

1. Turtles all the way down by John Green

John Green’s writings are in itself a bliss, a Page Turner with amazing story line, attractive characters and everything else.

Remember The fault in our Stars and Looking for Alaska? They both are award winning books by him.

Besides the book cover, which btw I find to be the most beautiful of all the other books I have seen till date, the storyline, characters and plot of this book were so so good that I often found myself reading the same paragraphs bazillions of times, like this one below.

The protagonist Aza explains to her best friend how it’s like to have anxiety and being struck in your own head all the time.

The most unique and special thing about this book is that the protagonist, Aza suffers from multiple mental disorders such as anxiety, OCD, hypochondria etc. When you read it as she narrates her own story, you really feel so close to being in the shoes of someone having a mental illness. Just for this, a big thumbs up to John Green!

2. The subtle art of not giving a fuck by Mark Manson

Mark Manson is a famous blogger based in Boston. The way he writes about life’s most serious things in most subtle way is an amazing art only he possesses.

What you need to know is that this book is a revolution in the world of self-help, positivity and getting through life in the best possible way.

The subtle art of not giving a fuck by Mark Manson is a perfect book to pick for those who literally hate reading the conventional self help books with words such as positive, negative, forgive, forget and peace when in reality as Mark says, the world really is full of five thousand pounds of shit wherever you go.

No matter how rich or poor you are, everyone’s life is fucked up and it’s up to us to choose what to give a fuck about and what not.

It will make you smile, cry and introspect all at the same while reading the 210 page short but amazing book full of take away that will help you carry on your life full of shitty things, all you have to remember is to choose what shit you really want to deal with, in wiser words, you got to choose your struggle and pain. Because there is no life really without pain, solving the problems and the journey itself will give you happiness in the end.

So I guess I will stop talking and really wish you read this gem of a book soon, and thank me later!! 🤗

Footnote

It was my first book review sort of a blog, people have asked me so many times to do it, but my lazy ass is to blamed or probably I always thought not many will be really interested in reading a review perhaps.
